Strandhill Beach is a long sandy beach approx. 7 miles from Sligo town and situated under the picturesque Knocknarea Mountain. With its wild Atlantic waves is also a very popular spot for surfers. It is said that it is one of the best places in Europe to surf. With numerous bars, cafes and restaurants, it’s also the perfect spot to enjoy a pint or a bite eat by the seaside. During the summer months, you can enjoy beach yoga, surf and stand up paddle sessions, guided bus and walking tours around the area.
