Duncan Campbell: Make It New John

The Model co-commissioned Irish-born, Glasgow-based Duncan Campbell’s new film, Make It New John, which tells the story of the DeLorean car, its creator John DeLorean and the workers of the Belfast-based car plant who built it. This is a 50-minute installation.

Children’s Programme
The Model’s exciting children’s summer programme will open on Sunday, 25th July with a breath-taking aerial performance by the magical Barren Carousels from the Belfast Community Circus. This event will be preceded by a special appearance by Pia Lück with her magical travelling suitcase, a quirky homage to Mr Jack B Yeats.
An eight-week Saturday afternoon programme of work¬shops in dance, visual art, circus, music and drama, it’s inspired by the great paintings of Jack B. Yeats, which have been brought together for the Model’s summer’s exhibition, The Outsider.

An eclectic micro music and arts festival which will take place in the beautiful grounds of the Temple House estate near Ballymote.

The objective of the school is to promote interest in the narratives, anthropology and history embedded in the Sligo landscape. Enthusiastic speakers will elaborate on the embedded meanings in the local ancient narrative in groups each morning at Strandhill Celtic Community Hall and on selected sites each afternoon. Transport to sites provided.
